Estuary Colony

Founded in 1958 as a division from Riverside Colony in Glenwood, Alberta, Estuary Colony has spent over six decades building a thriving agricultural community in Leader, Saskatchewan, that exemplifies the enduring strength of Dariusleut Hutterite traditions. Our colony's story is one of both heritage and progress—we honor our roots as a daughter colony while taking pride in our own role as a parent community, having successfully established Star City Colony as our daughter colony, continuing the cycle of Hutterite community expansion and growth. Under the dedicated leadership of Manager Ken Tschetter and Minister Walter Tschetter, we operate diverse agricultural enterprises that take advantage of Saskatchewan's fertile prairie landscape, combining traditional farming wisdom passed down through generations with modern agricultural techniques and equipment. Located in the heart of Saskatchewan's agricultural region, we've built lasting relationships with neighboring communities and regional markets who appreciate our commitment to quality products, sustainable farming practices, and the genuine community values that define our way of life. Our six-decade journey in Leader has proven that with hard work, cooperation, and faith, a Hutterite colony can not only thrive but also contribute to the growth and prosperity of the broader Hutterite community across the prairies.
