About Leedale Colony

Leedale Hutterite Colony is located northwest of Rimbey in central Alberta, where mixed grain, forage, and livestock operations form the backbone of the local rural economy. Established in the early–mid 1970s, the colony operates a typical Hutterite mixed farm while also contributing to community life in the Rimbey area through school partnerships and food donations for local events.

Out of this farming experience grew Trueline MFG (TrueLine Agriculture Products), a fabrication and manufacturing shop based at Leedale that focuses on solving real problems farmers face in the field. Founded by colony members with a “small parts, big difference” mindset, Trueline specializes in products that protect expensive combine headers from rock damage and reduce downtime at harvest, often paying for themselves in a single day of use.

Using state‑of‑the‑art precision laser cutting, CNC bending, and modern drafting and manufacturing systems, Trueline produces accurate, repeatable parts and custom fabrications while drawing on the colony’s hands‑on farming knowledge to refine each design. The shop serves clients across North America from its Rimbey‑area base, shipping ready‑to‑install parts that give farmers and contractors reliable, field‑tested solutions.

Within Leedale Colony, this industrial work fits alongside communal farming and daily Hutterite life: families share meals, worship, and labour, with some members working primarily in barns and fields and others in the Trueline shop. That structure allows the colony to support both a productive prairie farm and a highly capable fabrication business, each strengthening the other through shared experience and a common commitment to service.
