Bow Wood Co. (Little Bow)

Bow Wood Co. is the woodworking and custom furniture operation of Little Bow Hutterite Colony, located in Vulcan, Alberta, a community set in southern Alberta's prairies midway between Calgary and Lethbridge. Little Bow Colony was founded in 1983 and has grown into a stable farming community that also channels the colony's deep tradition of skilled trades into a thriving woodworking enterprise.

At Bow Wood Co., the team is the family. Every project reflects the colony's pride in craftsmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to quality that has been passed down through generations. The shop specializes in fully custom woodworking for homes, offices, and commercial spaces, building pieces that are as functional as they are beautiful—from kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities to live edge serving trays, cutting boards, furniture, and handcrafted kitchenware.

The shop's capabilities span the full range of custom woodworking:

• Cabinetry: Custom kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, pantries, entertainment centres, and built-in storage

• Furniture: Custom tables, beds, Murphy beds, bookcases, shelving, and pool tables

• Millwork & Trim: Shiplap, crown moulding, baseboard installation, custom interior and exterior doors, and finish carpentry

• Small Batch Goods: Maple end grain cutting boards, live edge walnut serving trays, wooden spoons, spatulas, and wood care products

• Custom Services: Joining, milling, sanding, shaping, finishing, and top coat application to complete partial or full projects to specification
