Founded in 1999 near Calgary, Alberta, Lone Pine Colony represents a perfect blend of centuries-old farming wisdom and modern sustainable agriculture practices across our expansive 8,000-acre operation. Under the dedicated leadership of Tony and his father Peter, we've built our reputation on raising premium farm-fresh chicken that reflects our commitment to health, nutrition, and traditional farming methods that have been passed down through 400 years of family farming heritage. Our free-run chickens enjoy the best of both worlds—spending April through October outdoors in fresh air and sunshine, then moving to heated, well-ventilated barns during Alberta's cold winter months to ensure year-round comfort and quality. What truly sets our poultry apart is our strict adherence to natural feeding practices, using only homegrown grain with absolutely no animal products, soy, antibiotics, or hormones—just plain good chicken raised the way grandma used to do it. Managing between 4,000 to 9,000 birds depending on the season, we take pride in every aspect of our operation, from the quality of our feed to the personal relationships we build with customers who appreciate knowing exactly where their food comes from and how it's raised.
