Scott Hutterite Colony

Founded in 1993 near Scott, Saskatchewan, Scott Colony represents the essence of Hutterite community living, where 20 families comprising around 115 people work together in perfect unity across all aspects of agricultural life. Our comprehensive farming operation demonstrates the strength of collective effort, with specialized roles ranging from chicken and pig management to beef cattle and dairy operations, alongside extensive crop production and vegetable gardening that ensures both our community's sustenance and market success. Every member of our colony, from the youngest to the oldest, has a meaningful job and contributes to our shared prosperity, creating a living example of how traditional community values can thrive in today's modern agricultural world. As we approach the traditional colony size of 140 members—when Hutterite communities typically look to establish new settlements—we continue to embody the cooperative spirit and strong work ethic that makes our way of life both sustainable and inspiring, proving that in an increasingly individualistic world, there is still tremendous power and beauty in working together toward common goals.
