Starbrite Colony

Starbrite Colony is a Leherleut Hutterite community rooted in the wide open farmland southwest of Foremost, Alberta. A true mixed farm operation, the colony runs crop farming, layer hens, hog production, dairy, and an extensive colony garden, a full spectrum of agricultural activity managed by a community that takes pride in every product that leaves their hands.

What sets Starbrite Colony apart is a standard they have held for decades and refuse to compromise on: if they would not eat it themselves, it does not get packaged. Every vegetable is hand-picked and processed in a HACCP-approved facility, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality from the garden to your table.

That commitment to quality has earned Starbrite Colony a loyal following at the Lethbridge Farmers Market, where they have been a fixture for over 30 years. Every Saturday from mid-June through the end of September, the colony shows up with fresh, hand-picked produce for the community they have served season after season.

Whether you are shopping through Hutterite Marketplace or visiting them at the market, you are getting vegetables grown, picked, and packed by people who hold their own food to the highest standard, because it is the same food on their table.
