Home Comfort Hygienist brings professional dental hygiene care directly to the patient. Using fully portable equipment, the service is designed for people who want convenient care without the need to travel to a traditional dental clinic.

Appointments can be provided at private homes, offices, long-term care homes, retirement homes, workplaces, colonies, facilities, and community organizations. This mobile approach helps reduce travel, waiting-room time, and other barriers that may make traditional appointments difficult.

Home Comfort Hygienist is led by Kyria Elliot, RDH, whose mission is to provide accessible, high-quality, and compassionate dental hygiene care in the environment chosen by each client. The practice is focused on promoting oral health, preventing disease, and providing personalized care for individuals, families, seniors, people with mobility challenges, and busy clients.

Direct insurance billing

Direct billing is available to most insurance providers when supported by the patient’s plan and insurer requirements. Treatment estimates and fee breakdowns are provided before treatment.

For group bookings of 10 or more insured patients, proposed incentives may include a gift card option for eligible patients or complimentary teeth whitening for eligible adults. Children under 12 may qualify for a separate gift card option. These promotions should be confirmed with Home Comfort Hygienist before being published as guaranteed offers.

For patients without insurance, colony group bookings may be eligible for a 20% service discount. Final eligibility, applicable procedures, and scheduling requirements should be confirmed before booking.

Mobile travel fee

Home Comfort Hygienist does not charge a travel fee within a 30 km radius of Edmonton. For locations beyond that radius, a mobile travel fee of $0.75 per kilometre applies.

For colony, facility, workplace, and organization bookings, an estimated travel fee can be provided before the clinical day is scheduled. This helps the booking coordinator understand the total expected cost in advance.

Patient forms, consent, and insurance

Before treatment, patients may be required to complete intake, medical history, consent, insurance, and patient information forms.
