About this product

Bring a true kitchen workhorse into your pantry with Chickpeas 500g from Sunshine Roasting Co. These firm, nutty tasting legumes, also known as garbanzo beans, are as comfortable in rustic stews and curries as they are in fresh salads, hummus and crispy roasted snacks.

Chickpeas are recognised as a rich source of plant based protein, complex carbohydrates and dietary fiber, with around 14 to 15 grams of protein and 12 to 13 grams of fiber per cooked cup, plus key nutrients such as iron, magnesium, potassium, folate and B vitamins. They are naturally low in saturated fat and have a low glycaemic index, which makes them a smart base ingredient for heart conscious, energy steady, whole food focused eating patterns.

Simmer them for homemade hummus, fold them into grain bowls and salads, add them to soups and curries or roast them with spices for a crunchy, satisfying snack. With their mild, slightly nutty flavour and satisfying bite, chickpeas fit easily into both everyday meals and meal prep routines.
