The good ones, picked at the right size while the flesh is still firm and the seed cavity is still small, are a genuinely useful, genuinely flavourful summer vegetable.

Summerland Colony picks their zucchini at the right moment. Not the baseball bat that gets left on the vine too long. The medium-sized, firm, fresh zucchini that cooks well, holds its shape, and has the flavour that the oversized ones lose.

Grown in the colony garden near Carmangay in Vulcan County, Alberta. Established in 2021 as a daughter colony of Clear Lake Colony, Summerland is building out fresh produce operations to serve nearby towns and customers across Alberta.
