Tschetter Colony

Tschetter Colony is a Hutterite community in Alberta with a deep tradition of hands-on craftsmanship and practical building. The colony is home to Country Cabins, a family-run construction operation dedicated to building durable, high-quality structures that are designed for real Alberta living.

Every structure built at Tschetter Colony is crafted by skilled tradespeople in their on-site shop, not mass-produced, not templated, and not rushed. Built with thick walls, tight seams, and solid finishes, their structures are engineered to stand up to cold Alberta winters and hot prairie summers without compromise. When the build is complete, it is delivered and set up ready to use, anywhere in Alberta and surrounding areas.

The colony's building expertise spans a wide range of structures, from custom cabins and two-storey bunkhouses to chicken coops, horse shelters, insulated dog kennels, greenhouses, barns, bridges, horse pens, and sheds. Whether you need a recreational cabin on your property, a functional animal shelter for your farm, or a custom outdoor structure built to your exact specifications, Tschetter Colony brings the same commitment to quality to every single project.

This is Hutterite craftsmanship applied to practical, everyday needs, built by a community that takes pride in the quality of everything that leaves their shop.
